He continues to swim and run
regularly. With his younger brother Edward he completed a Marathon in Sydney in November 2002 and competed in the Engadine Ski Marathon in 2002, 2003 and 2004. He married Vickie (Victoria Freeman) on August 27th 2005 in Harvington, Worcs. Vickie is an International Triathlete who has competed for Great Britain and
won her age group in the World Long Course Triathlon Championships in Canberra in November 2006. Email address
He ran the London Marathon in 2004, with his twin brother, Matthew.He
competes regularly in Masters swimming events, duathlon and occasional triathlons.
Oliver Wilkinson (Oliver Richard Charles)
The younger twin, by fifteen minutes, Oliver was a
student at Liverpool Blue Coat School, St Kevin's College, Toorak and Melbourne High School. He excelled in the swimming pool, where he competed at city and county level in England and at State level in Australia. He specialised
particularly in butterfly and he and his twin brother, Matthew, were both rated in "the top ten in Australia", as 12 year olds, in 400 metres individual medley. Outside sport Oliver developed a major interest in theatre and
was heavily involved in numerous productions at school – mainly as a member of the infamous 'stage crew'. He was awarded colours for swimming and for stage crew.

He planned to train as a
Veterinary Surgeon and, with this in mind, entered Melbourne University studying first year Science in 1993 and transferred into Veterinary Science the following year, qualifying in 1997. He worked in a small animal practice in Adelaide for
two years and was then in England for several years, where he worked as a locum in Liverpool, Yorkshire, Cheltenham and elsewhere.
Oliver and Vickie lived in Cheltenham for most of 2008 and 2009, where Vickie continued to train vigorously and compete regularly.
Oliver worked, much of the time, for the Dragon Veterinary Centre in Cheltenham but also has a share in a Veterinary practice in Albert Park, Melbourne, where he has worked for two months each year -
He won the 2 way
Windermere (21 mile) swim in August 2009 in a near record time and swam across the English Channel on September 8th 2009
in a respectable time (11 hours and 6 mins).

In early 2010 he and Vickie, with their Vissler "Tassie", are back in Melbourne where they plan to stay for the next eighteen months. Vickie completed the Australian Ironman in March and qualified for the Hawaiian Ironman, which takes place in October 2010!
